The 2023 USPS Informed Delivery Postage Discount Promotion

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has introduced the 2023 Informed Delivery Postage Discount promotion, an innovative program that offers mailers a multi-channel experience through physical mail and digital engagement. This promotion provides eligible residential and personal PO Box consumers with a digital preview of their household’s mail, enhancing the traditional mail experience.

Promotion Overview

4% Discount

By pairing digital Ride-Along Images and Representative Images with a mail campaign through Informed Delivery, business mailers can engage users with an integrated marketing campaign. This approach provides additional consumer impressions, interactions, and insights. Mailers participating in this promotion will receive a 4% discount on their mailing costs.

0.5% Incentive for eDoc Postage Statement Submitter

There is also an additional 0.5% incentive offered to eDoc Postage Statement submitters. They must first enroll via the Manage Permit section of BCG, where they provide their permit numbers to receive the incentive once the submitted Postage Statement has successfully processed.

Promotion Period

The registration period runs from June 15th to August 1st, while the promotion period lasts from August 1st until December 31st, 2023.

Discount Amounts

The 4% discount is calculated and applied to the associated permit in the postage statement at the time of mailing, deducted from the total postage due amounts. The 0.5% incentive is offered to Informed Delivery Promotion eDoc submitters, with specific enrollment required.

Eligible and Ineligible Mail Options

The promotion is available for specific mail types such as First-Class Mail automation letters, postcards, flats, USPS Marketing Mail automation letters, and flats.

Ineligible mailpieces include non-automation mail, saturation mail flats that are not DDU-entered, Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM), detached address labels, business-to-business mailings, package campaigns, and non-SEQ campaigns.
